If you want to stay up to date with everything we do for this project, you can check these live updates from any tromsite.com page, not only here. From any page click the top TROM logo and arrow.
With the code base of Manjaro Linux and the graphical user environments GNOME, KDE and Xfce, this distribution represents a stable and powerful operating system from the Arch family. What distinguishes TROMjaro from its origin (and all other distributions) are the ethical principles to which the development team is committed. The way of thinking which goes beyond software is described with the attribute Trade Free and explained in detail on the website tromsite.de (the official German information platform of the TROM project).
In TROMjaro, inclusions with commercial contact points have been consistently removed, which is why support for Snap (Snap Store) is missing. However, the Arch User Repository (AUR) is activated by default and the project offers some self-developed and promising applications for free use. After installation, TROMjaro presents itself in a modern and uniform design. While tools for system maintenance and adjustments are completely available, there are only a few pre-installed applications. In this respect, users have unrestricted freedom of choice, supported by an excellent graphical installation tool. The project’s website provides a wealth of information and instructions, mainly in the form of videos.
If you can't figure how to do it asks us at tromsite.com/chat. Together we are smarter than big companies with a few servers 😀
So, what's new? See our new homepage https://www.tromjaro.com/ to discover the entirety of TROMjaro. A Trade-Free operating system with a plethora of features!

For "previous" users there is not much to do, except tehy MUST update the TROM Repository! Instructions on the releases page.
Big thanks to Sofie and Georgi for making custom TROMjaro icons for many many apps and continuing to do so. And to everyone who is testing it 😉
I had the idea of engaging a bit more with those following the TROM instagram; show more of the people who create this project and allow for a more personal affiliation with the project.
Anyway, long story short with some back and forth - the instagram will keep being about the project and not personal. More people have been given the instagram login and they will mainly be posting on the stories if they do TROM work to show what they are doing for TROM. Besides that the TROM instagram will remain as before.
Tio, I want to thank you so so much for everything! 2 years ago I never thought that I would ever meet you - it was kind of a dream and you were kind of a role model for me. Now I'm writing this just next to your room 😀 sometimes I can't believe that, but well - it's real 🙂 you are the most amazing human being I've ever met and it is a pleasure and joy for me to able to work with you and other wonderful human beings on our projects. This is the most amazing time in my life and I'm excited where things develop. I will always support TROM and the ideas nomatterwhat. Thank you very very much!
Enjoy! And please, if you can, support our work here https://www.tromsite.com/donate/
Answer: We removed all of the translated materials (including subtitles) from tromsite.com because we created a special tromsite page that is designed for translators. Anyone can start translating the entire project and its files now. Go here https://www.tromsite.com/translation.html to read the instructions, and here https://www.tromsite.com/translation.html#Instructions:Instructions you will find that special page. There is little to no use to add some subtitles for some of our videos for our English based website, and it was also a very time consuming task. And, if anyone wishes to see our videos with subtitles, then they can visit the translation page where all of the subtitles from amara.org are displayed automatically.
