TROM I: the reality of me

The TROM documentary is trying to present, in a simplistic way, the world in which we, human beings, live. We try to present the world that was discovered so far through the lenses of science: from the evolution of everything (including us) to the monetary system (the game we currently play), to a different kind of world that we could build for the benefit of us all, then back to Earth.
We are trying to present alternative solutions to current problems and take into account the future, which promises to be more than interesting. An informative documentary, perhaps shocking and disturbing to many, depending on how you digest the information. The documentary is divided into chapters and sub-chapters due to the documentary’s excessive length (14 hours) and all the parts are connected so we recommend that you see them in order.
NOTE: This documentary was made in 2011 and since then, our understanding of the world has become more scientific. A few parts/notions from this documentary are either not as scientific or we do not stand behind those claims anymore. Please watch this TROM-Cast recorded in 2020, where we dissect the documentary.
1. KNOWLEDGE
A brief introduction to the world that we have discovered so far and an understanding of the methods we, human beings, use to arrive at those discoveries. From your brain to the evolution of everything and the environmental influence on everyone’s behavior, we try to cover them all.
2. PRESENT
Our lives are directly, and very powerfully, influenced by the game we all play which is called “the monetary system”. Everything in our world is influenced by the monetary system: crimes, jobs, the distribution of goods and services, even your way of thinking.
We start by understanding how people get caught in the monetary system and why they continue to support it. Despite the fact that we present many harmful aspects of the current system, and the plenty of artificial values created and perpetuated by it, in the end it is a positive approach to try to understand and improve this environment.
3. SOLUTIONS
All of the alternative solutions that we have presented so far will coalesce into this third chapter where we will present an overall idea of how a different society that is not based on money can function. The ideas behind The Venus Project are very inspirational and can teach us about how a future society could look like.
4. REACT
Although this documentary will end, it is very likely that most of the people who will watch it, will not change. This is not surprising unfortunately, but in this chapter we will try to not only understand why this is the case, but also inspire others to change, to act, to react.
